WHAT CAN YOU DO?
About The Pain?
Talk to anyone who will listen about what has happened and share your feelings.
It you cannot talk about the death, talk about your special person's life.
Spend time with friends and let them know what you need from them.
Write a poem or song expressing your feelings.
Keep a journal of your thoughts and feelings and your flashbacks and nightmares
Make a scrapbook and fill it with photos.
Paint a picture dedicated to your special person's life.
Create a collage with pictures and words from magazines.
Take advantage of grief resources such as counselling, books and support groups.
Alcohol and other drugs may mask your pain and not allow for healthy grieving.
